The paper you choose depends on your personal preference. There are numerous types of paper. For example, white, yellow, off-white, thick, thin, rough, smooth, coated and uncoated. Below we have listed the best-known and most commonly chosen types of paper for theses and dissertations. Coated
Coated is a very popular type of paper and is typically used when printing theses and dissertations. Coated is a machine-coated paper, with light grey hues. We recommend this paper for transcripts containing images, figures and tables. Our coated paper is available in different weights.

Uncoated
Uncoated paper is matte with a rough structure. The color is white as standard. There are also other hues, but then it’s best to choose Biotop paper or Roman paper. This type of paper is recommended for non-fiction books, provided these contain no or very few photos. As, because of the finishing process, this is wood-free paper, it does not yellow with age.
